So, the vegetarian food that we eat should be fresh and it should be, like I say, free of chemicals and sprays.

The more raw food, the better. Raw food has the life force still in it. It has a strong electrical charge. Our body is an electrical machine – everything operates on electricity. When you cook food, you kill that electrical charge and you also destroy enzymes necessary for digestion and assimilation. So raw food is preferred over cooked food. The authorities say that it should be 80 % raw food and 20 % cooked food. Maybe it sounds unrealistic but, believe me, it’s not – you can do it.

And the food should be, as much as possible, green food. And here is why.

By design, our bodies are alkaline, meaning by nature’s arrangement. But by our lifestyles, our bodies are acidic. There is a Ph scale, I’m sure you know about it, from 0 to 14. Seven is neutral, anything below 7 is acid, above 7 is alkaline. Our bodies should be alkaline, 7.365 is perfect for the blood. But in almost all cases, vegetarians included, the bodies are acidic.

Disease germs like cancer and all kinds of other diseases, they love acidic conditions. Bacteria, mold, fungus – they love acid. They cannot live in an alkaline environment. When our bodies are acidic – they thrive, even amongst vegetarians. But if you can bring your body to an alkaline condition, it kills them. If your body is strongly alkaline, you will never get cancer. Cancer cells cannot live in that environment. Many people have completely cured their cancer by bringing their body to a high alkalinity. So an alkaline diet is the best diet.

CHLOROPHYLL

An alkaline diet is a diet with a lot of green vegetables – chlorophyll, lots of chlorophyll.

You need also oils. The body needs oil. Not the oil from saturated meat or saturated fats but good clean vegetable oil. Here in Russia you have a lot of sunflower oil. That’s good but it must be unrefined, unheated, cold-pressed. Seek it out – you can find it. You have amazing oil here; I’ve been using your oil – it‘s really good. Here in Siberia you have great oil: cedar oil, very-very good. You’ve got walnut oil, linseed oil, almond oil. You can get hemp seed oil. Use them, put them on your food. And not just a drop or two – a lot. Don’t cook it. If you are going to cook your food, don’t use oil, don’t fry your food. This causes oil to go rancid and can cause damage.

So, the oils. You can get so many nice oils, they are very important in the body.

WATER

Water, our body needs a lot of water. Almost nobody drinks enough water. You need at least 2 liters a day – this is absolute minimum. 3 to 4 liters is the best. You can do that.

Put a little baking soda in your water so to raise the Ph of the alkalinity of the water. Put some lemon in the water – that’s also raises the Ph, makes it very alkaline. Lemon juice is acid, but when it goes in the body, it becomes alkaline. You can put a lot of lemon on your food – very good. Grapefruit juice is also very good.

And salt. I know people are told, “Do not eat salt! It’s bad for you!” But, again, this is untrue. Every fluid in the body is salty. The saliva, the sweat, the tears, the blood, the urine – every fluid in the body is salty. When you go to the hospital, they put saline solution in your vanes.

You need salt, but not commercial table salt – this is very bad, this is damaging. So stay away from that. Sea salt is not the best because the ocean is very polluted and also now they’re starting to put all kind of chemical things (bleaches and everything) in sea salt. The best salt is Himalayan salt which you can find in some shops. It comes from a 5 000 000 year old ancient sea in the Himalayas, contains 84 essential minerals. Your body loves it.

So you can use these guidelines.

Of all foods, sprouts are the best. They are living, they have the full life force. You take a grain or a seed and you sprout it. The energy in that increases 10 times and the alkalinity increases a lot. It’s the most life giving, healthy food there is.

And the good thing is: you can grow your own. It’s so cheap! You can buy these beans, seeds, nuts, grains (it’s very cheap) and you can sprout them, and from a small amount you get a lot – so much extension in volume. So it’s very cheap. It’s the best food. You can grow it in your home in winter as well as in summer.

We are growing wheat grass, sunflower sprouts and other sprouts. And to make it easy, now there is available in Russia a sprouting machine. We have a demo box; we came prepared. The machine is called “Dr. Green.” It’s a very simple thing. You just plug it in, put your seeds in here, it has a place for water – you add some water, turn it on, and it begins to grow your sprouts. It waters the sprouts at a regular time, in the exact amount necessary. And within one day you can be eating sprouts.

Vika here, our great translator, she has one of these machines. She uses it every day and her testimonial is: you can sprout anything, it doesn’t matter what you put in it, except rocks – rocks don’t work. You can put it in today – tomorrow you are eating the sprouts. She keeps hers running 24 hours a day.

We are using this while I’m staying here in Novosibirsk, and every day – beautiful sprouts! So it’s not impossible to do.

Not only do you get the nourishment, but it cleanses you. It pulls all these toxins that have been building up for years, and flushes them out of your body. So you actually start feeling so much more energy.

You will lose weight if you need to. Some people need to lose weight (most people need to lose weight) – you will. I’ve never seen anybody that really went on this diet properly and didn’t lose weight and felt better.

Skin problems, digestion problems, arthritis, rheumatism, all kinds of problems – good bye! They are gone. They are just gone – they are not there. Where did they go? They went away with the health of the body. It’s really nice to feel good.

Gradually you can throw all that medication away – in time, not immediately. There are no fanatics here. You take it slow, you take it easy. You don’t want to detox too quickly, otherwise you run into a poisoning problem from the inside. Slowly you add a little more vegetables and leave out a little more of other stuff, work your way into it. And in this way you will be completely safe.

Every now and then you can do a few days of just juice, fresh pressed juice that you make yourself – very cleansing.

Summer is coming and there is going to be a lot of nice fresh food available. Right now there are a lot of nice greens available. You can go out and get from the forest amazingly healthy things. We’ve been using the nettle – it grows everywhere. It stings your hands, but it’s amazing inside. Make juice from it, blend it up into different salads. It’s just right there for free – doesn’t cost anything. There was one other herb we were using – it’s called goutweed. And then from the linden tree we were getting small leaves. Yes, I was eating all kinds of things: tree leaves… Beautiful! And nothing bad, I like it. It’s for free, so healthy – you can do these things! If you do it, you are going to be very surprised.

A lot of the old wise people knew about some of these things, but then they have their meat and they have their breads and, of course, the vodka. So it doesn’t quite give the same result. You clean out a little bit and pour in more contamination.

Seventy percent of all diseases are due to lifestyle choices – 70 %! We choose to live a certain way and get sick because of it. But if we choose to live correctly, we will get well because of it.

And all of this is in perfect harmony with the Vedas, with God’s system. He gave us all these things for our health. We take what He gave us and ruin it and destroy our health. That’s our fault, not His fault. So just coming back to His arrangement solves all the problems. And because this diet is so much in the mode of goodness, so many mental problems are much better. Agitations are gone – they are so small compared to what they used to be – “Oh, I want this, I need that!”
