Question: What a person am I? Why don’t I change?
Answer: I’ m not really sure I know what you want to know but, as I explained, you are a spirit soul, a child of the Supreme Soul – that’s who you are eternally.
You don’t change because soul is changeless. Your false identity changes all the time in this life time, in future lifetimes – you are always changing your material identity. But you are still the same spiritual person you’ve always been.
If we change our material lifestyle, then we can come to our original condition of a loving servant of God. That’s who we are. We are not somebody else. I am the servant of God – that’s who we are.
I can’t change that. But I can forget that, deny that, act in opposition to that, and therein lies the problem.
So when I come back to whom I really am, live the life that is really my life, then my life is as it should be.
