Question: Who are Christ; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost?

Answer: Christ. Some people refer to Lord Jesus as Jesus Christos, or Jesus Christ. Actually the root of the word ‘Christos’ is ‘Krsna.’ So Jesus was the son of Krishna, but also the great devotee of Krishna. We are all sons of Krishna, but Jesus was that person (and others also have done the same) who connected his will with his Father’s will.

So at that time, at that place, for those people in the Middle East around the sea of Galileo in Jerusalem where he was, he was the representative of God for those people and that’s what he said. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes unto the Father, but by me.” That is God’s system. God has a system, we can’t change that system. His system is that He directs us to His devotee, His bona fide representative in the material world. He directs us to him.

Then He puts us in charge of, under the care of His devotee. His devotee guides us, teaches us, instructs us in how to develop love for God. In other words, the devotee delivers us to God via the transcendental plane of love, transcendental love. So for those people Jesus was that person. Krishna says, “You can’t come to me directly, you must come to Me via My devotee.” This is His arrangement, so whether we like it or we don’t like it, that’s the way it is.

Of course, those of us who are sincere in doing God’s will, they like it very much, they love it, they give their life to it, and their life becomes successful. God is pleased, God’s representative is pleased, the person in such a sincere condition becomes pleased, and everything’s perfect.

When Jesus Christos said that to them, he meant, “For you guys right here, I am the way.” But not for all time, for all people eternally. That’s not what he said. There will be a spiritual master to whom Krishna will direct people and give them the vision – this is My representative. This is His instruction in the Bhagavad-gita, “One should seek a bona fide spiritual master.” Of course, you will be directed if you’re sincere.

“Inquire from him submissively.” Inquire what? About the absolute truth. Now is the time to inquire about the absolute truth and this is where you inquire, from one who knows the absolute truth. Submissively, not in a challenging mood, but in a submissive, receptive mood. Render service unto him, please him, do what he wants you to do.

“Such a realized soul can impart knowledge unto you because he has seen the truth.” So again, at that time Jesus was the representative of God for those people. We must find the representative of God!

The Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost – the Trinity.

The Father is the Supreme Lord. He has many names: Krishna, Gopala, Govinda, Rama, Jehovah, Allah- many names. This is the Father.

The Son is His devotee, the representative, the purely connected servant of His.

The Holy Ghost: There is an expansion of it within the heart of every living entity, every living entity, not just humans. Humans are not the living entity, we are living entities in the human body. So in the heart of every living entity there is an expansion of God known as the Paramatma, the Lord in the heart, also known as the Super Soul. This is the Holy Ghost that is referred to in the Christian theology.

So that’s the Trinity: God the Father, God the Lord in the heart and His representative who is also considered to be the mouthpiece, the divine medium of God. That is the clear understanding. It’s not a sectarian truth. It’s an eternal universal truth.
